Lived at 8 Brierley Road, Grimethorpe Plymouth Naval Memorial Captured at the fall of Hong Kong, where H.M.S. Tamar was a shore station. Died as a Japanese PoW after being captured Hong Kong. Was aboard a ship, the Lisbon Maru which left Hong Kong on 27 August 1942 for Shanghai with 1816 prisoners on board. Attacked and sunk by submarine USS Grouper. Died on the same date/ unit as James Samuel Holt (P/JX 201158) (Doncaster) |
